‘Point God’: Murray’s playoff heroics continue with historic Game 4 performance

“Bubble Murray” no more. Jamal Murray goes by “Point God” now. According to Denver Nuggets teammate Aaron Gordon, at least.

The Kitchener, Ont. native has proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that his playoff exploits from 2020 in the bubble were no fluke — they’re routine.

Murray flourishes under the bright lights. Compared to the regular season, he averages 8.5 more points per game in the playoffs; 2.0 more assists; his 3-point percentage ratchets up by 3.1 per cent; his total shooting by 3.2.

Against the Heat in Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Friday, Murray delivered another historic performance to bring the Nuggets within one win of the franchise’s first championship. Take a look at what made the night so significant:
