The Miami Dolphins are aiming high for the 2023 season, and they’re hoping to go where they haven’t gone in a long time: to the Super Bowl.

They have new talent in the form of veteran star cornerback Jalen Ramsey, and there has been speculation that they have been interested in adding star running back Dalvin Cook, who is currently a member of the Minnesota Vikings.

But the Dolphins’ hopes rest largely on the shoulders of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and his ability to stay healthy.

Head coach Mike McDaniel says that he has been the team’s most consistent player during spring workouts, per Adam Beasley.

Tagovailoa had something of a breakout campaign last season, which was his third in the NFL.

He threw for 3,548 yards and 25 touchdowns while leading the league in passer rating and touchdown rate percentage.

However, Tagovailoa suffered multiple concussions that limited him to 13 games, and after his latest concussion, he remained in concussion protocol for several weeks.

As a result, he wasn’t able to play in Miami’s Wild Card playoff game against the Buffalo Bills, a game they lost by just three points.

They should have an explosive offense as long as Tagovailoa stays healthy and continues to improve, as they boast two of the game’s best wide receivers in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

In addition, with the addition of Ramsey, their defense should be significantly improved.

Last season, the Dolphins’ pass defense was very poor, as they ranked 26th in passing touchdowns allowed and 27th in passing yards given up.
