Home runs are one of the most exciting aspects of baseball.
Grand slams are the best kind of home runs.
They only come with the bases loaded and give a team four runs on one swing.
Go-ahead grand slams are exciting as well.
But rarely do you see two go-ahead grand slams in the ninth inning on the same day.
That took place on Sunday afternoon.
The Chicago White Sox walked off the Detroit Tigers thanks to a grand slam by slugger Jake Burger.
At Chase Field, Eddie Rosario put the Braves on top in the ninth inning against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
On Twitter, MLB Network took note of this rare occurrence.
It was a day in baseball…
For the first time since 2012, there were TWO go-ahead grand slams in the 9th inning! 💪 pic.twitter.com/2B7tpP6gNq

This is certainly a rarity.
In fact, it’s the first time that two go-ahead grand slams have been hit in the ninth inning on the same day since all the way back in 2012.
In their tweet, MLB Network described Sunday as a “grand day.”
With two ninth-inning grand slams, it certainly was that.
Both slams ultimately resulted in wins for both the Braves and the White Sox, and both came in key moments in the game.
Grand slams aren’t always the most common home runs.
But when they do happen, it’s something worth celebrating, especially when two happen in the same day in similar situations.
It adds a bit of dramatic twist to a game, which is what took place on Sunday in both Arizona and Chicago.
Rosario’s grand slam led the Braves to their 35th win of the year, while Burger’s helped the White Sox defeat the Tigers and improve to 26-35.
