Three-time Pro Bowl punter Brett Kern has announced his retirement from the NFL after 15 seasons.
Kern played 13 of those seasons with the Tennessee Titans, earning first-team All-Pro honors in 2019 and finishing his career as the team’s all-time leader in several categories, including punts and punting average.
“When I came to Tennessee, I had just been (released),” Kern told the Titans’ official website ahead of his announcement on Thursday. “I was confused, angry, kind of all the emotions. But at the same time, I was extremely thankful. I was getting another chance, and to be able to come to the Titans, it was a great opportunity.”
