Many professional athletes think they are capable of playing professionally in another sport.

The most common transition is between NBA players to the NFL and NFL players to the NBA.

While the two leagues could not be more different, there are still a handful of players that might be able to pull it off.

There are former college basketball stars like Antonio Gates and Jimmy Graham who had successful careers in the NFL.

But, could any NBA players make the transition to the NFL?

Travis Kelce seems to think there are a few players that could make it happen.

Kelce went on FanDuel TV and said Patrick Beverley, Jimmy Butler, and Russell Westbrook could all make the switch.

Kelce also mentioned how LeBron James was just as good of a high school football player as he was in basketball.

James could have even carved out a career in the NFL if he stuck with football.

Also, Kelce mentioned how the athleticism of Westbrook could cause problems for many NFL players.

He is fast and explosive and could maybe carve out a role as a slot wide receiver.

But the constant punishment that NFL players receive is not something many people can withstand.

Getting hit on every play is a job that not many people would sign up for.

That is why the shelf life of NFL players is far shorter than that of other sports.

Either way, it is still interesting to think of certain players that could thrive as multi-sport athletes.
