As America’s Team, the Dallas Cowboys always get a lot of attention heading into the NFL season, and this year is no different, with Mike McCarthy’s squad potentially being stacked on both sides of the football.

After failing to live up to expectations last season, the Cowboys hope to bounce back with a vengeance in 2023, as the team has made some moves to bolster their defense.

According to ESPN’s Mina Kimes, the defense in Dallas may be among the best in the league; in fact, the Cowboys could be in the top three defensively.

With one of the best defensive players in the league leading the way in star linebacker Micah Parsons, the sky is the limit for Dallas, especially considering the talent around the former Penn State star.

As Kimes points out, Dallas is stacked on the defensive side of the football, with DeMarcus Lawrence, Trevon Diggs, and Stephon Gilmore rounding out what could be the best defense in the league in 2023.

Despite all that talent on defense, the Cowboys always seem to struggle to live up to the high expectations given by the media and internally by longtime owner Jerry Jones.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Cowboys can get back on track in 2023, especially considering they are in arguably one of the toughest divisions in the NFL right now, competing with the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants in the NFC East.

One thing is for sure; the Cowboys have the talent to win it all. It’s just a matter of putting it all together and coming out on top consistently next season.
