Following another painful loss against the Denver Nuggets, the Los Angeles Lakers face a big challenge now.

The No. 7 seed in the Western Conference are in an 0-3 hole against the Nuggets, who will try to close this series out as soon as this Monday.

Absolutely everything is against the Lakers right now, as nobody has returned from the deficit they’re facing right now.

They have become the 150th team to be in this position and not a single one of the past 149 could win their series.

This is already bad, but things take a new dimension with a stat that shows the Lakers are 0-8 when trailing a series 0-3.

Moreover, they haven’t won a single game when in this position.

History is against them, and they will need to write something new to come back in this series and return to the NBA Finals.

This season appeared to be getting better for the Lakers after the trade deadline, and to some extent, it was like that.

Nobody expected them to make it this far at the start of the season, and they made so much with the tools they had.

The Nuggets have proven to be too much to bear for them, and the Lakers need to pull off a miracle to get past Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic.

It won’t be easy, but some people on the team believe it can be done.

Game 4 is scheduled for this Monday, and the Lakers will have the opportunity to start their comeback or to say goodbye to this season.
