The Los Angeles Lakers once again couldn’t keep up against the Denver Nuggets and lost Game 3 of the 2023 Western Conference Finals.

The 17-time NBA champions had renewed hope ahead of this game since they hadn’t lost a game at home during this postseason.

Once again, Jamal Murray and co. had different plans and they didn’t shy away regardless of their rivals or the venue they played in.

The Nuggets won 119-108 and put the Lakers in a complex position.

Following the match, Darvin Ham shared his thoughts on this game, showing his confidence even being down 0-3.

Ever since the trade deadline, the Lakers turned their season around, even posting the best record in the West over this period.

However, as great as they played in the first two rounds, things have changed against the No. 1 seed in the conference.

The Nuggets have proven all season long that they are a dangerous team and they’re hungry to win it all.

Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray know they’ve been overlooked during the whole season, and now are playing with a chip on their shoulder.

LeBron James shared Ham’s sentiment, claiming that they are still in the race to win this series.

However, history is all against the Lakers. They have trailed a series eight times before and have never been able to win a single game, getting swept every time.

Moreover, they are the 150th team to be in this position and none of the other 149 squads could win their respective series.

Game 4 can be a consolation prize for the Lakers, but everything points to the Nuggets taking this series and making it to the NBA Finals.
