The Atlanta Falcons are a team hoping to take the next step in 2023 after adding a few young pieces to their team as they begin to rebuild in the post-Matt Ryan era.

With the quarterback position set with Desmond Ridder being the Week 1 starter moving forward, the team does need some help in the passing game for their new starter under center to reach his potential.

Fortunately, the team brought in Mack Hollins in free agency, who played well for the Las Vegas Raiders last season and will continue to develop second-year wide receiver Drake London.

The team also signed former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wideout Scotty Miller to bolster the receiving corps, but they haven’t stopped there as they have recently brought in Slade Bolden, according to NFL Insider Jordan Schultz.

Although the Falcons receiving corps isn’t all that intimidating and won’t scare their opponents next season, Atlanta could start to right the ship if players like Bolden, London, Hollins, and Miller exceed expectations.

A lot will be riding on Ridder being the right man for the job under center in Atlanta, as it all starts and end with the quarterback position, which goes without saying, is the most important position on the field.

It remains to be seen whether Ridder can help turn things around in Atlanta, but the team seems to have faith in his ability, and that may be enough for him to prove his worth in 2023.

Last season, Ridder played in four games for the Falcons, throwing for 708 passing yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions.

He also rushed for 64 yards on 16 carries in those four games.
