Though the St. Louis Cardinals remain in last place in the NL Central and still own the worst record in the National League, Friday night’s comeback win could potentially serve as a springboard towards momentum.
St. Louis rallied from two late deficits to stun the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.
It was Nolan Gorman’s pinch hit home run off of Kenley Jansen that proved to be the difference in the game.
St. Louis won by a final of 8-6.
After the game, the Cardinals posted a video of Gorman receiving high-fives from his teammates and asked fans how they were feeling after such a dramatic comeback win.

It’s safe to say that Cardinals fans are feeling pretty good after Friday’s win.
With the win, the Cardinals gained ground in both the NL Central and NL Wild Card races.
The Milwaukee Brewers took first place from the Pittsburgh Pirates with a win over the Kansas City Royals.
St. Louis is now 7.5 games out of first place and 5.5 behind the Chicago Cubs and Philadelphia Phillies for the final Wild Card spot in the National League.
Though the team’s record is still not great, this comeback could serve as a momentum builder for the Cardinals.
The Red Sox have been playing quite well and have outperformed expectations this season.
The Cardinals have performed well below expectations.
But with a key win over the Red Sox, perhaps they might be able to build a little momentum.
After an eight-game skid, St. Louis has won four of their last five games and are in position to pick up their first series win over the Red Sox since 2014.
