The Dallas Cowboys finished the 2022 season with a 12-5 record, making a run to the playoffs.

They ultimately lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional round, much to the chagrin of their fanbase.

Skip Bayless is a noted Cowboys fan and has recently predicted the team to take a slight step back this season, projecting a 10-7 record.

Bayless believes that the Cowboys’ schedule is much more difficult this season, a reason for his 10-7 prediction.

The Cowboys start the season with a matchup against the New York Giants, a divisional rival.

They go on to play the New York Jets, Arizona Cardinals, and New England Patriots, which could be relatively easy contests.

As Bayless mentions, they have to travel to San Francisco to play the 49ers, which could prove to be a difficult matchup.

The 49ers have a passionate fanbase, and it is a notoriously hard place to win.

Bayless also indicates that the Cowboys have a difficult path at the end of their season.

The final five games of the season are against the Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, Detroit Lions, and Washington Commanders.

If those teams play as they have been projected, it could be a tough end to the season for the Cowboys, especially as they fight for a playoff spot.

The NFL season is still several weeks away, and several variables are at play.

Is Bayless’ prediction about the Cowboys correct?

Or, will they be able to overcome a difficult schedule and make the playoffs yet again this year?
