The Vegas Golden Knights will be without netminder Laurent Brossoit for Wednesday’s pivotal Game 4 against the Edmonton Oilers and will start goalie Adin Hill in his place, head coach Bruce Cassidy confirmed Wednesday.

Brossoit appeared to injure himself after making a save on the Oilers’ Connor McDavid in Game 3 on Monday. After the save, the goalie pushed to his right to face a potential second shot, and then went down in pain. Hill replaced him in goal, stopping all 24 shots he faced the rest of the way to secure the 5-1 win for Vegas.
Cassidy said Brossoit was undergoing testing on Tuesday, possibly including an MRI. The Golden Knights coach told reporters Wednesday that he can’t predict how long Brossoit will be out for until he sees the team doctors back in Vegas.
Hill, 26, played in 27 games for the Golden Knights this season and posted a 16-7-1 record with a .906 save percentage.
Veteran Jonathan Quick will serve as Hill’s backup in Game 4. The Golden Knights have also brought up Jiri Patera to serve as the team’s third goalie after ruling out Logan Thompson, who has not played since March 23.
The Golden Knights lead the series 2-1. Catch Game 4 on Wednesday on Sportsnet or SN NOW at 10 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. MT.
