Game 4 was right there for the taking, but the Golden State Warriors couldn’t finish the job.
They were up eight midway through the fourth quarter, and they let Lonnie Walker IV take over and get the lead right back.
Then, a string of costly mistakes and poor shot selection by Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, and even Stephen Curry cost them the win that could’ve evened things up at two wins apiece.
That’s why NBA analyst Matt Steinmetz blamed the trio of future Hall of Famers for the loss, claiming they just couldn’t get the job done, per 95.7 The Game.
“Your three Hall of Famers had it right there in front of them. They didn’t come through.”@SteinmetzNBA on the Game 4 loss.

Truth be told, no blame should fall on Curry’s shoulders.
He did miss plenty of shots he usually makes, but he still finished the game with a 31-point triple-double, including 14 assists.
He was as aggressive as per usual and did an outstanding job of finding the open guy, kicking the ball out after driving, and working his magic with his crafty moves.
Green did play outstanding defense on Anthony Davis and did a much better job of avoiding foul trouble.
Davis only took four shots in the second half, which speaks volumes of how Green shadowed him and got him out of rhythm after his hot start to the game.
As for Thompson, he just had a brutal night from the perimeter, making it two games in a row in which he’s failed to make an impact offensively.
The Warriors will live and die by the three.
They didn’t always have the best look, but Steve Kerr will live with the results every night of the week.
