The defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors have had a challenging start to the NBA playoffs, with the team being taken to the brink of elimination against the division rival Sacramento Kings in the first round and lost the first game of the second round against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Despite dropping Game 1 at home to the visiting Lakers, the Warriors bounced back with a vengeance in Game 2, as they pulled off a 27-point blowout win to even the series at one game apiece.
On his podcast, veteran forward Draymond Green talked about how much he’s learned from Warriors head coach Steve Kerr this year and how it has impacted him and his team via The Volume.

Before Kerr became a head coach in the NBA, he had a lot of success as a player during his stints with the Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs, learning from two of the greatest head coaches in the history of the game.
Along with playing alongside Michael Jordan and Tim Duncan throughout his career, Kerr soaked up the knowledge from Phil Jackson and Gregg Popovich to make the transition into coaching, where few become successful.
Kerr is one of only a few head coaches who have been able to keep their job for a long time in the NBA, with Popovich and Erik Spoelstra being the others who have been able to stand the test of time.
Head coaches come and go in the NBA, as was made clear recently with the Milwaukee Bucks firing Mike Budenholzer after a first-round collapse.
Kerr is an exception and continues to go strong as he’s working on winning a fifth title for the Warriors.
