The Baltimore Ravens have their franchise quarterback under contract.

After a long offseason of negotiations, the Ravens and Jackson agreed to a new contract.

It looked uncertain at times if Jackson would ever return to Baltimore.

But, that is the only place that he wanted to play.

According to NFL Network, Jackson said: “I want to be a Raven”…I want to win a Super Bowl here.”

Jackson had a unique situation where he did not hire an agent for the negotiations.

So he and the Ravens had to get this deal done together.

Jackson said, “I really didn’t care for other teams.”

He was set on being a Raven, and he finally got the five-year deal.

Now that Jackson is under contract, he will be expected to produce a Super Bowl in Baltimore.

He is the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL for a reason.

His skill set is unlike anyone else, and he has everything you look for in a franchise quarterback.

Baltimore did their best to add talent around Jackson this offseason.

Two of the moves they made were signing Odell Beckham Jr. and drafting Zay Flowers.

Both should help not just Jackson but the entire Ravens offense.

The Ravens have the tough task of playing in the AFC North.

Facing the Bengals, Browns, and Steelers will make things very difficult.

Yet, the Ravens should feel confident about having Jackson as their quarterback.

This upcoming season should be an exciting one for all Ravens fans.
