The Carolina Panthers had the first overall pick in the NFL Draft and selected quarterback Bryce Young.

Now that the draft has been completed, each team will work to sign all their draft picks.

The Panthers were the first ones to sign a draft pick as well.

But it is not who you might think.

Ian Rapoport says the Panthers have agreed to terms with fifth-round pick Jammie Robinson.

Robinson was the No. 145 overall pick in the draft, and the Panthers have high hopes for him at safety.

When it comes to signing draft picks, not much negotiation needs to happen.

That is because each player is slotted into a value based on where they are picked.

Young will make the most money on his first contract, and every player after will make a little bit less.

You can bet we will slowly start to see many more draft picks signings start to flow in.

The draft has forever been the best way to build a championship roster.

That is because you can have cheap starters on four or five-year contracts.

If you look across the league, most of the top teams have been very good at drafting.

In a salary-cap league, you need to find cheap starters that can play at a high level.

That is exactly what the draft is used for, as this next crop of draft picks could change a franchise forever.
