The Philadelphia Eagles came into the NFL Draft with two first-round picks.
You could assume they were going to walk away with two very good players.
That is exactly what they did on Thursday night by selecting Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith.
The Eagles apparently spend a lot of their time scouting one school.
That would be the University of Georgia.
Both Carter and Smith are from Georgia, as they join a defense with Georgia players Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean.
As Dov Kleiman said, many people are calling them the “Georgia Eagles.”

Georgia had the best defense in college football in each of the last two seasons.
They have elite players all over their defense, and the Eagles want all of them.
Amazing work by the eagles

Philadelphia even traded up to the beginning of the fourth round to select Georgia cornerback Kelee Ringo.
OMG they got Ringo too?!

Selecting players from an elite college program is never a bad idea.
The Georgia players are battle-tested, having won each of the last two National Championships.
The Eagles also made a major trade for former Georgia running back D’Andre Swift.
And they just got Swift https://t.co/VSc4vyogWS

It is hard to remember a time when an NFL team selected this many players from one school.
Saw someone calling them The Broad Street Bulldogs.

Everyone will be interested to see how Carter works out for the Eagles.
He was arguably the best player in the draft but fell to ninth overall due to off-field issues.
In back-to-back years, the Eagles took a Georgia defensive tackle in the first round.
They expect Carter and Davis to be leading their defense for many years to come.
