The Sacramento Kings always had high hopes for De’Aaron Fox, which is why they held onto him through thick and thin.
They even traded Tyrese Haliburton away so they could pair him with Domantas Sabonis, and it most definitely paid off.
It took him longer than expected, but Fox is coming around to become the star most analysts thought he could be.
In fact, Colin Cowherd recently claimed that he’d take him over Ja Morant right now, adding that he’ll be a top-10 player in the league if the Kings take down the Golden State Warriors.
“If I told you today, Ja Morant or him, I’d take De’Aaron Fox”

Of course, that didn’t sit well with some people online, as Morant also had an impressive outing vs. the Los Angeles Lakers and has found more success in his career in less time.
Ja just dropped 45, 13 assist and 9 rebounds

Truth be told, there’s no need to compare these guys or say you have to like one or the other.
Fox is two years older and has been in the league for longer, so it would only make sense that he could be a step ahead of Morant.
Also, they’re not even facing off with each other right now, so it’s not like one is outdueling or outplaying the other by any means.
Fox has emerged as a dominant force in the clutch, and he was one of the main reasons why the Kings were able to put an end to their playoff drought, so it’s nice to see that he’s finally getting some recognition.
But Morant is one of the faces of the league already, so maybe, let’s just pull the brakes on this kind of take.
