The NFL is awaiting the news of an Aaron Rodgers trade.

He has been the hot topic of discussion for most of the offseason and is still expected to be playing for a new team in 2023.

Rodgers has made it clear he wants to play for the New York Jets next season.

It still appears that the Packers and Jets plan on getting a deal done soon.

With the NFL Draft set for April 27th, you would think a deal will have to be done by then.

The Packers are holding out to try and get as much as possible for Rodgers.

Which could be why a deal has not been completed yet.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk says chatter is still floating about Rodgers and the 49ers.

The 49ers already have a quarterback controversy on their hands with Brock Purdy and Trey Lance.

Adding Rodgers to the mix would make things substantially more complicated.

Rodgers would be the immediate starter, and they would have to move on from Lance or Purdy.

Some rumors have surfaced that the 49ers are interested in trading Lance.

That would make sense with how clustered their quarterback room is.

Rodgers to the 49ers more than likely will not happen.

But, it is an interesting possibility if the Jets and Packers can not agree on a deal by draft day.
