After falling short against the Miami Heat in the Play-in Tournament, the 2022-23 NBA season has officially come to an end for the Chicago Bulls, with a lot of questions about where the storied franchise goes from here.

With Chicago failing to live up to expectations since bringing in stars Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan and Nikola Vucevic, the prospect of blowing things up and starting from scratch has become a topic of discussion.

Although this may be the best course of action for Chicago, the team doesn’t seem to want to go in that direction just yet, as there’s a belief that things can get turned around.

According to Jamal Collier of ESPN, Bulls executive Arturas Karnisovas isn’t ready to rebuild this franchise after the disappointing end to the season without a playoff berth.

With LaVine and DeRozan still playing at the top of their games, it’s not a total surprise that Karnisovas and company would want to give it another shot before blowing it up and trying to build the ground up.

However, changes need to be made moving forward to get this once-proud franchise back on track as a legitimate force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference.

The Lonzo Ball situation needs to be dealt with, as his playing days may be over due to a persistent knee injury, and more talent needs to be surrounding LaVine and DeRozan to compete with the best of the best in the East.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Bulls make any aggressive moves this summer to help right the ship in Chicago.
