No one would argue that the Houston Rockets are currently a good basketball team.
But no one would also argue that Jalen Green isn’t set to be a superstar soon.
The guard just finished his second year in the league and averaged 22.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists for his Rockets.
NBA analyst Bradeaux pointed out that during his best home stretch of the season, Green put up a phenomenal 28.2 points, 5 rebounds, and 5.6 assists with a true-shooting percentage of 64%.

During that stretch of games, Houston beat the Atlanta Hawks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Phoenix Suns.
The Rockets obviously have a young, blossoming star with Green but it remains to be seen how they build a stronger team.
Green is the sort of player who could soon be an All-Star and definitely the leader of the team.
But the front office will need to work hard to construct a competitive squad around him.
They have already initiated major moves to change things.
In a move that didn’t surprise anyone, the Rockets just fired head coach Stephen Silas.
That means that the Rockets will have a new leader in the upcoming season.
Names like Frank Vogel and Ime Udoka are rumored to be in the mix for that position.
As for Green, he is going to continue to perfect his game and work hard.
He knows that the future of the team may be resting on his shoulders and he seems prepared for the challenge.
It may be a few years before the Rockets are in the playoffs again but they definitely have talent ready to shine.
