The New York Knicks are finishing a good season and are set to keep fighting for the NBA championship.

Ahead of the upcoming NBA playoffs, they are adding new pieces.

They already had a decent squad, but just like other franchises, depth will be important in the postseason.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports the Knicks are signing Isaiah Roby.

This deal will run through the rest of this campaign and the entire 2023-24 NBA season.

Roby will have a big part of that money guaranteed.

The Knicks are set to clash against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round of the 2023 NBA playoffs.

They have had a terrific season, led by Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle, their two best players.

Tom Thibodeau could turn things around with this team, taking it from the bottom of the standings to a top-5 finish.

The Knicks look very dangerous, and even though they aren’t considered championship favorites, rivals need to be careful.

Entering the final game of the season, the Knicks are 47-34, ranking 5th in the Eastern Conference standings.

Roby previously played for the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs.

The forward has career averages of 7.7 points and 4.4 rebounds.

New York has a solid squad that can at least make it to the second round of the postseason.

They’ll need to beat the difficult and inspired Cavaliers first, but the situation will get worse after that.

The Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers are considered favorites to come out of the East, but the Knicks might believe they can shock them.
