The San Francisco Giants pulled off an impressive win on Sunday over the Kansas City Royals.

Down 1-0 in the bottom of the eighth inning, San Francisco was on the verge of being swept by the Royals.

They had lost on Friday and Saturday.

But the Giants weren’t ready to throw in the towel just yet.

With two outs, Wilmer Flores tied the game with an RBI double, setting the stage for Michael Conforto.

The newly signed outfielder sent one over the right field wall to put San Francisco ahead 3-1, where they would stay.

After the Giants comeback win, Conforto was greeted in the clubhouse with a hero’s welcome.

There appears to have been some sort of club-related party taking place in the clubhouse after San Francisco’s win.

But one thing is for sure.

The Giants were certainly happy to see their hero after Sunday’s win.

Conforto’s teammates were grateful for his heroics.

The Giants were just four outs away from being swept by the Royals and beginning the season 3-6.

But Flores and Conforto didn’t allow that to happen.

The Giants scratched and clawed and never gave up as they battled it out with the Royals and prevented a Kansas City sweep.

San Francisco improved to 4-5 on the season and remained at a game-and-a-half behind the San Diego Padres and Arizona Diamondbacks for the top spot in the National League West.

The Giants will now begin an important three-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, which starts on Monday night.
