The Carolina Panthers have made the biggest move of the offseason so far.
They traded a large package including the ninth overall pick to the Chicago Bears for the first overall pick.
Carolina made this move because they think there is a franchise cornerstone in this draft.
The Panthers need a quarterback, and now they plan to address that issue in the draft.
The two top quarterbacks options are Alabama’a Bryce Young and Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud.
It seems like they will be the first two players off the board, but in what order?
Colin Cowherd believes that the Panthers traded up to take Young.
“Carolina is going to take Bryce Young and here’s why.”

He thinks Young is the top quarterback in the draft, and someone the Panthers can build around for many years.
Based on college production, Young is the far superior player.
He was the Heisman Trophy winner in 2021 and has 80 career touchdown passes to 12 interceptions.
The only knock on Young is his size.
He is a smaller quarterback, and some scouts are afraid that Young will not be able to withstand a long NFL season.
While Young may not be the prototypical NFL quarterback, he has all the talent you look for in a future star.
The Panthers are under ample pressure to get this pick right.
They cannot afford to miss with all the draft capital they gave up.
Carolina has their eyes set on a future superstar and all of its fans hope they make the right pick.
