Over the last few years in the NBA, superstars around the league have started to play fewer and fewer games on a regular basis.
This has shed light on the possibility that 82-game regular seasons may be too much for players to handle in his new era of basketball.
Injuries have run rampant in the NBA, so teams have rested their stars more often.
This is a problem that the longtime Golden State Warriors head coach was hoping the NBA and NBPA would address in the new collective bargaining agreement (CBA) that was recently agreed to.

This will likely become the next big issue in the league, especially with the new CBA putting in a new rule for games played to be eligible for NBA regular-season awards.
With the new CBA said to be a seven-year agreement, it’ll be interesting to see the impact that it has on the league moving forward and whether a change to the number of games played in the regular season has to wait for a bit longer.
Another significant impact on star players sitting out games on random nights is fans buying tickets and not knowing whether they’ll get to see the players they want to see.
At some point, that will become a major problem as fans will either wait until the last minute to buy tickets or may stop going to games altogether and watch at home rather than taking the gamble they’ll see a Stephen Curry or a LeBron James on any given night.
