The New York Jets and Green Bay Packers seem to be in a standoff.

Both teams are negotiating a potential Aaron Rodgers trade, yet nothing has been agreed to yet.

The Packers want to get great compensation back for their MVP quarterback, but the Jets are wary to give up too much.

We know the package for Rodgers will include plenty of draft picks, it just depends on how high the picks are.

It has been said for a while that the Packers wanted a first-round pick back for Rodgers.

But, that no longer seems to be the case.

According to Mike Florio, the Packers are no longer demanding the Jets’ 13th overall pick for Rodgers.

This is huge news as the two sides work towards a potential deal.

Florio mentioned how the Jets will most likely have to give up their second-round pick and another conditional pick.

Some of the compensation might depend on how many more seasons Rodgers plays.

The Jets do not want to give up too much for a player that will only play one year.

For the Packers, they should be happy with any additional picks they can receive.

Once they trade Rodgers, they will be turning the franchise over to Jordan Love.

For Love to succeed in year one the Packers need to put the best roster possible around him.

The more draft picks the better for that reason.

It will be very interesting to see what the compensation is for Rodgers if a deal finally gets done.

As this trade will have a lasting impact on both franchises.
