The NBA world was shaken back in 2016 when Kevin Durant joined the Golden State Warriors.
We had never seen an MVP player in the prime of his career join a team that just won 73 games.
It was arguably the best player in the world joining the best team in the world.
One team that felt the wrath of Durant on the Warriors was the Cleveland Cavaliers.
They had to face Golden State in the 2017 and 2018 NBA finals, both of which they lost.
Cleveland won once during those two finals appearances, and Durant was the finals MVP in both.
One player on the Cavs during those years was center Tristan Thompson.
He went on the Draymond Green Show to discuss the move by Durant to Golden State.

He was shocked like most of the NBA at the time.
The 2016-2017 Warriors are one of the greatest teams in NBA history.
In the regular season they had a record of 67-15 and in the playoffs they only lost one game.
Golden State won 15 straight playoff games and went 16-1 in total.
We will most likely never see that level of dominance again in the NBA.
The NBA is a star-driven league and the Warriors have had a bunch of them throughout their run.
