With the March Madness lines underway over the weekend, Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to amaze everyone, proving that his talents are almost limitless. His latest accomplishment? The Milwaukee Bucks superstar added yet another title to the long list of things he can do when he led the team with a 118-111 victory over Toronto on Sunday night. This is no easy feat, even for him.

Giannis Antetokounmpo produced a herculean performance, completing the 13th triple-double in NBA history on 100% shooting. He put up an astounding 22 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists, all without missing a single shot from the field. His nine attempts tie for the fourth of these thirteen games as well!
Mike Budenholzer, head coach for the Bucks, compared Giannis’ performance to a perfect game in baseball. Not only did he go 9-of-9 from the field and secure his thirteenth triple-double of the season, but this combination is becoming increasingly rare! According to Coach Budenholer, it proves that Giannis is really something special.

Guided by the steady hand of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee kicked off their night with a blaze. He was in full control, from his first thunderous right-wing 3-pointer to slicing through bocks for powerful dunks and layups. He simply made sure the ball stayed moving at just the right moment.
After becoming the Milwaukee Bucks’ record-holder in NBA game appearances, Antetokounmpo provided insight into his thought process during a postgame press conference. Sitting with pride and honor, the commemorative basketball player celebrated this career milestone.

Antetokounmpo has learned to trust his instincts when it comes time to make a decision on the court. Instead of rushing forward with no plan or forcing passes off quickly, he waits for opponents’ reactions and analyzes what is best in any situation.

He’s been double-teamed enough that this pause almost becomes second nature since he looks out for an open opportunity by being patient and letting the play develop naturally. Notably, taking advantage of double teams can be a powerful tool for a basketball player.

The tip is: when your opponents overcommit to defending against the pass, use their zeal as an opportunity to take it baseline or go downhill on them with one decisive move! Keep calm and hold off until you find that perfect passing space; every defense will have its vulnerable points.

Drawing on his natural talent, this player uses his instincts to know the best time for each pass. With a measured perception and knowledge of how opponents think, they can decide whether it’s better to go fast or slow; timing being key in either situation. Utilizing these inherent skills helps distinguish him from other players who have yet to hone this instinctive ability.

Giannis Antetokounmpo wasn’t particularly moved by the historical significance of his performance at that moment, instead focusing on what he needed to do next. After their victory, Antetokounmpo reflected on how he’ll look back fondly when the moment has passed.

He commented,”…right now, it’s difficult to pause and enjoy success because of all the hustle taking place.” But one day, he might be able to recall these moments with a special appreciation for what his body could achieve.
