Aaron Rodgers, the future Hall of Fame quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, appears to be headed to the New York Jets once both teams agree on the terms of a trade.
He would be joining a team that has plenty of intriguing talent on both sides of the ball.
Although some feel Rodgers would make the Jets instant Super Bowl contenders, analyst Joy Taylor isn’t high on the impact he can make.

The Packers suffered through an anemic 2022 season in which they finished just 8-9 and missed the playoffs just two years after back-to-back NFC Championship Game appearances.
Rodgers’ numbers took a dip, as he went from 4,115 passing yards and 37 touchdowns in 2021 to 3,695 yards and 26 touchdowns last season.
Some of that, however, could likely be attributed to the departure of star wide receiver Davante Adams last offseason.
Rodgers is now 39 years of age, and naturally, some wonder how effective he will be moving forward with all the wear and tear he has.
The Jets do have wide receiver Garrett Wilson, the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year, as well as Allen Lazard, a wideout who played five seasons with Rodgers in Green Bay.
In addition, New York had the NFL’s fourth-best scoring defense in 2022, which should take plenty of pressure off Rodgers to always be his vintage self.
On the other hand, the AFC East is a very tough addition, as the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots have improved, while the Buffalo Bills remain formidable.
Perhaps Rodgers’ impending tenure with the Jets will turn out to be as fruitless as that of his predecessor, Brett Favre.
