The World Baseball Classic will continue on Friday with a matchup between Puerto Rico and Team Mexico.

Mexico recently eliminated Team Canada to advance to the quarterfinals, while Puerto Rico took care of business against the Dominican Republic.

These two teams will meet on Friday night to determine who will go to the semifinals to meet the undefeated Team Japan.

But the matchup should be extra fun considering the elite pitching matchup that we have in store for us.

Chicago Cubs ace Marcus Stroman will be starting for Team Puerto Rico, while Mexico will counter with Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander Julio Urias.

On Twitter, Team Mexico tweeted a cool graphic featuring the two aces before their matchup.

This should be a fun game.

Puerto Rico will of course have to overcome the shocking loss of closer Edwin Diaz, who injured himself during their celebration on Wednesday.

But with Stroman on the hill, they should be in decent shape to try and take down Mexico.

Mexico is red-hot, however.

With pitchers such as Urias, Taijuan Walker, Patrick Sandoval, and Jose Urquidy, their staff is incredibly deep and could be used as a weapon as they look to advance to the semifinals.

The pitching matchup for Friday’s game is certainly one for the ages and should be a fun game to watch.

The winner will advance to play Japan.

The loser will be eliminated.

The action continues on Friday night at loanDepot Park in Miami.

We’ll see who advances to the next round.
