Over two months have passed since the Los Angeles Dodgers ultimately decided to release embattled right-hander Trevor Bauer.

Bauer was suspended for violating MLB’s domestic violence and sexual assault policy.

MLB chose to shorten his suspension in December and gave the Dodgers until January 6 to decide what to do with him.

On Monday, Bauer found a new home with the Yokohama DeNa BayStars in Japan.

He was given a one-year deal to join the team.

On Twitter, the BayStars posted a brief video message featuring Bauer, who expressed his excitement for this new opportunity.

Over the course of his MLB career, Bauer has a total of 83 wins and a career ERA of 3.79.

He won a Cy Young Award in the pandemic-shortened 2020 season with the Cincinnati Reds.

He joined the Dodgers on a three-year deal following the 2020 season.

However, allegations of sexual assault surfaced in 2021, which cut his season and his time in a Dodgers uniform short.

Before being placed on paid administrative leave, he had gone 8-5 with a 2.59 ERA in 17 starts with the Dodgers.

After being released by the Dodgers, no team made an effort to try and sign Bauer to a contract worth the league minimum of $720,000.

And so, the BayStars came calling and gave Bauer a one-year deal to continue his baseball career overseas.

During his MLB career, which is more than likely over, Bauer earned an All-Star nod, a Cy Young, and an ERA title.

He spent most of his career in Cleveland.
