The reputation and image of Memphis Grizzlies star guard Ja Morant have taken a nosedive over the last couple of weeks after a few incidents he has been involved in have come to light.
The biggest of those incidents was an Instagram Live in which he was seen gleefully showing off a gun while partying at a club in Colorado.
As a result, the Grizzlies sent Morant home indefinitely, and he issued a statement in which he apologized and said he would seek help.
It looks like he is indeed seeking help, as ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Monday that he has entered a counseling program in Florida.

Morant is one of the NBA’s most electrifying players, and he may be the most athletically gifted point guard the league has ever seen.
He is averaging 27.1 points, 6.0 rebounds and 8.2 assists per game this season, and he has made the Grizzlies into a dark horse team in the Western Conference.
They rolled off an 11-game winning streak in late December and January, which allowed them to ascend into second place in the Western Conference.
But ever since the Los Angeles Lakers snapped that winning streak, Memphis has struggled to find any type of consistency, and it has fallen to third place in the West.
After the Phoenix Suns, who are in fourth place, traded for Kevin Durant last month, perhaps Memphis could fall even further in the standings.
Right after the gun incident, the Grizzlies announced Morant would miss their next two games, then they announced he would miss at least four more contests.
