The success of the Sacramento Kings is one of the biggest NBA storylines of the year for the 2022-23 season.

They ended last season as the 12th team in the West with a 30-52 record.

However, this season they are currently second in their conference with a 39-26 record.

This has led many people to believe that head coach Mike Brown, who is enjoying his first year with the team, should win NBA Coach of the Year.

Legion Hoops recently tweeted this idea and got a ton of agreement, including from LeBron James who said that Brown should be Coach of the Year “HANDS DOWN!!!!!!”

James isn’t the only one thinking that Brown deserves the huge honor.

Following Legion Hoops’ tweet, countless NBA fans took to the web to praise Brown and recommend him for the award.

NBA writer Jake Weinbach noted the “unbelievable turnaround” of the team and how Brown’s Kings are about to “snap the longest playoff drought in NBA history.”

Other NBA fans pointed out how Brown came from the championship Golden State Warriors, who have experienced a much rougher season without him as an assistant coach.

“The Warriors are different without Mike Brown. The Kings are different with Mike Brown. Mike Brown is Coach of the Year,” said Twitter used L E F T, PhD.

Justin Tinsley humorously pointed out that the last time the Kings made the playoffs, some of the top songs in the country were “Temperature” by Sean Paul and “What Hurts The Most” by Rascal Flatts.

This shows just how much time has passed since the Kings were this good.

Finally, one of the NBA’s biggest fans – and biggest personalities – agrees that Brown deserves Coach of the Year.

Shaquille O’Neal said the Kings are “for real” on NBA on TNT and praised Brown for his hard work turning the team around.

There are many great head coaches in the NBA right now but it seems clear that a strong consensus is building around Brown to win this top prize.
