Ever since taking over for Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has helped his team return to being one of the NFL’s best over the last couple of years.
However, despite winning 12 games in each of the last two seasons, Dallas has fallen short early in the playoffs to the San Francisco 49ers, and some are starting to feel like Prescott simply isn’t a big-game player, let alone an elite signal-caller.
But Cowboys owner Jerry Jones still believes in him, and in a recent interview, he even suggested that Prescott, who is 29, will only get better as he ages while making a comparison to the great Tom Brady.

In Brady’s early years, his New England Patriots won three Super Bowls in four seasons, and although he played at a fairly high level, some wondered if he was more of a “system quarterback” and a beneficiary of head coach Bill Belichick than a singularly great one.
But as the years went on and the Patriots retooled around him, he improved his accuracy and ball security, and once he won his fourth and fifth world titles, he started to become recognized as the consensus greater player in league history.
Apparently, that is the future Jones envisions for Prescott.
At 66.6 percent, he has a higher career completion rate than Brady, but he hasn’t done nearly as well in big games, especially come playoff time as Brady has.
In this season’s divisional-round loss to the 49ers, Prescott threw two interceptions and just one touchdown pass, leading to a very poor 63.6 passer rating for the contest.
Perhaps Jones is delusional with this take on his supposed franchise QB.
