The new era of Phoenix Suns basketball is officially underway.
Kevin Durant is back on the floor and made his debut with his new team, and it went just as well as expected.
Durant torched the undermanned Charlotte Hornets with 23 points on 10/15 shooting, adding six boards and a couple of blocks in less than 30 minutes.

Needless to say, and regardless of the lesser rival, this performance put the league on notice and reaffirmed their status as the biggest threat to come out of the Western Conference this season.
Obviously, this didn’t go unnoticed by NBA fans online, who took to Twitter to express their feelings about the new-look Suns and the new chapter in KD’s career.

Devin Booker added 37 points and seven dimes, and Deandre Ayton dominated both sides of the glass with 16 points and 16 boards, and this team might as well be unstoppable when they start to develop more on-court chemistry.
Durant is one of the few players that you could literally plug into any system and just expect to produce right away.
His scoring prowess and offensive versatility make him the ultimate addition any team could dream of at this point in the season.
Notably, Monty Williams’ team has the strongest starting lineup in the Association right now, and it wouldn’t be shocking to see them overtake the Memphis Grizzlies for the second spot in the Western Conference.
But as it usually happens, being talented isn’t always enough to go the distance, and they’ll need to stay healthy to fulfill their potential.
