This is not the best time to be a fan of the Houston Rockets.
The team is dead last in the Western Conference and their 13-45 record means that this year’s postseason is completely out of the picture.
Houston will have to do a lot of work and must make many changes in the season ahead if they wish to return to the playoffs any time soon.
With that being said, there is great talent on the team that just needs time to grow and blossom.

One of the team’s biggest stars is Alperen Şengün, the Turkish center who has been cleaning up on both ends of the court.
This is his second season in the NBA and Şengün is making it count.
Last year, he was averaging 8.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.5 assists a game.
This year, he’s up to 15.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists.
Additionally, his field goal, three-point, and free-throw percentages have all risen.
In fact, there isn’t any part of Şengün’s game that hasn’t evolved in 2022-23.
During his first season, he was averaging 20.7 minutes per game and started in 13 of 72 matches.
But this season, he’s started in 50 of 53 games and has played for more than 28 minutes.
It’s clear that he could be part of the team’s future – and he could make it very bright.
But will the Rockets hold onto Şengün or will they flirt with the idea of trading him when his value is highest?
This is just one of the difficult decisions the front office will have to make in the next few months.
Do they plan a future with Şengün or trade him away to acquire more?
