Report: Bucks’ Antetokounmpo to undergo more testing on right wrist

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is set to travel to New York following the All-Star Game to undergo further testing on his right wrist, according to ESPN’s Tim Bontemps.

Antetokounmpo injured his wrist on Thursday against the Chicago Bulls after attempting a block and hitting his hand. He was taken out of the game after playing nine minutes.

The two-time MVP still decided to partake in All-Star Weekend in Salt Lake City. He was selected as the captain opposite LeBron James, and scored the opening bucket of the game before taking a foul and subbing out.

Team Giannis took down Team LeBron 184-175, marking Antetokounmpo’s first win as a team captain.

He was also slated to participate in the Skills challenge alongside brothers Alex and Thanasis but pulled out. Bucks teammate Jrue Holiday took his spot in the event.

Antetokounmpo has missed 11 games so far this year, most recently missing five consecutive games with a knee injury. He is averaging a career-high 31.8 points, as well as 12.2 rebounds and 5.4 assists this season.

The Bucks are 41-17, half a game behind the league-leading Boston Celtics, and are currently on a league-high 12-game winning streak.
