The XFL is making headlines this weekend featuring many former NFL players.
But some of these former NFL players are making headlines for the wrong reasons.
For one former first-round pick, he didn’t even make it through his first game in the XFL.
While Paxton Lynch started for the Orlando Guardians in the XFL, he finished the game on the bench.
Former #Broncos 1st round pick, QB Paxton Lynch, was benched in his XFL debut.
Lynch was 15 of 21 for 136 yards but threw a bad INT and was benched for Quinten Dormady.

Lynch started the game with a solid first drive, scoring a touchdown and the first points of the game for his team.
However, costly mistakes ultimately led to his benching.
An interception in the late stages of the third quarter was the final straw for the team.
With the team down 21-6, they decided that they had seen enough of Lynch.
He finished the game with 15 completions in 21 attempts for 136 yards and one touchdown.
While things work at a different pace in the XFL, Lynch got little credit for some solid plays during the game.
His touchdown pass into coverage, which was under review after a defender came up with the ball, shows his tendency to throw risky passes.
