Many people feel that this April’s NFL draft will be filled with quarterback prospects who all have plenty of potential to make it big in the pros.

There is Bryce Young, who many expect to be the first or second player chosen, as well as Will Levis and C.J. Stroud, just to name a few.

A lesser-touted prospect is Stetson Bennett, who likely won’t get picked in the first round despite a rather successful college career with the University of Georgia Bulldogs.

He has been preparing for the NFL Combine, where he will be hoping to raise his draft stock and impress scouts.

Bennett wasn’t an instant star, as he was a walk-on for the Bulldogs as a freshman and did not participate in even one snap that season.

He transferred in 2018, which would’ve been his sophomore year at Georgia, to Jones County Junior College in Mississippi, then returned to the Bulldogs for the 2019 campaign.

After two pedestrian seasons, he started to look like a stud in 2021, as he threw 29 touchdown passes and led the Bulldogs to the national championship over the University of Alabama.

This year, he really shined brightly by posting 4,127 passing yards on a 68.1 percent completion rate, 27 touchdown passes and 10 rushing touchdowns.

Once again, he led his team to the national championship, as it routed the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs 65-7.

The biggest concern surrounding Bennett is his modest stature, as he stands just 5-foot-11 and weighs only 190 pounds, and therefore people are doubting his arm strength.

But the NFL draft is a crapshoot, and if history has proven one thing, it’s that less-heralded QBs taken in the later rounds can still turn out to have great careers in the pros.
