Kansas City Chiefs backup quarterback Chad Henne is capping his career on a high note.
The 37-year-old announced his retirement on social media after winning his second career Super Bowl title. Kansas City defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 Sunday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.

Henne also won with Kansas City in 2020.
Although he didn’t take to the field in either championship game, Henne was spotted warming up when starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes limped off of the field late in the second quarter. Mahomes returned, however, and guided Kansas City to its second title in four years en route to earning MVP honours.
The Michigan product was drafted in the second round, 57th overall, by the Miami Dolphins in 2008 and became their starter during his sophomore season. He spent four years with Miami before signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2012.
Henne, who joined Kansas City in 2018, saw limited action this season but came in relief for Mahomes during the divisional round against his former team, the Jaguars. He completed five of seven passing attempts for 23 yards and a touchdown. Mahomes returned to the game as Kansas City was victorious 27-20.
