For years, Jay Glazer has been one of the most prominent figures when it comes to football and reporting the NFL.

Glazer always gets some inside scoop because of his close relationship with the players, and some of his predictions have been right on cue.

That’s why countless NFL fans don’t waste a second to read every single one of his updates, turning on notifications during the offseason to see what he’s up to.

Unfortunately, Glazer’s latest update had nothing to do with football — or sports by any means — and instead was about the worst thing that could ever happen to a pet owner.

The renowned figure sadly announced that Alma — a dog he rescued from a shelter 11 years ago — had passed away, sharing his emotions and expressing his sorrow in such a difficult time.

Needless to say, countless NFL fans and even some of his colleagues rushed to comfort him, as there are few things in this world that hurt as badly as losing a pet.

Multiple people turned to social media to show their sympathy for Glazer, sharing pictures of their current and former pets to try and lift up the spirits a little bit, as difficult as it may be.

Of course, there’s not much one could say in a time like this, and only time will be able to heal this painful wound.

At this point, all we can do is be thankful for the wonderful times we’ve enjoyed next to these unconditionally-loving and wonderful creatures.
