Believe it or not, the Orlando Magic were able to take down the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night.

Led by the hard work of Wendell Carter Jr., Cole Anthony, and Bol Bol, the Magic defeated the best team in the West with a surprising 115-104 victory at home.

That doesn’t mean that stars for the Nuggets weren’t playing well.

As expected, MVP candidate Nikola Jokic was wonderful again with 29 points and 12 rebounds.

Michael Porter Jr. and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope were also solid in the game.

But it was Aaron Gordon who was the most productive for the Nuggets, despite the loss.

Gordon scored 37 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks, and 1 steal with a mammoth 71% field goal percentage.

This is Gordon’s third season with the Nuggets and it’s clearly his best yet.

In fact, some people say this is the greatest season of his career.

He is currently putting up 17.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists for the year.

His field goal and three-point percentages have also reached career highs.

They are 58.7% and 39.7%, respectively.

Those are impressive numbers, to be sure, but you really see Gordon’s skill when you watch him play.

The energy, communication skills, and intelligence he is showcasing this year are much more than what he’s done in the past.

He feels more comfortable than ever before.

The Nuggets are mostly known as Jokic’s team but Gordon is proof that the franchise has more than their MVP leading the way.

We aren’t sure how far the Nuggets will go this year but it is clear that they will definitely surge into the playoffs.

That means that Gordon will keep impressing the fans for at least the next few months.
