This past NFL season saw plenty of teams needing a quarterback to lead their team.

Teams like the New York Jets missed out on the playoffs because of their quarterback issues.

With the quarterback position being important to every team, these teams will do anything to land a star quarterback.

However, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Warren Sapp is talking about one quarterback being on the trading block.

With his connections in Florida, they are talking about the Chicago Bears trading Justin Fields.

His comments on Bret Boone’s podcast have him talking about the Bears getting Bryce Young, while using Fields to get additional picks.

While the idea sounds crazy, Bears general manager Ryan Poles never gave a stamp of approval on their young quarterback.

To him, if there’s a quarterback who can amaze him, he will take that quarterback.

However, the rumors Sapp is talking about could be a misdirection play for teams that are interested in the first overall pick.

If NFL teams fear the Bears will take Young, they might sell the farm to gain the first overall pick.

While anything can happen, trading Fields can diminish the progress he was making late in the season.

However, his injuries during his two seasons with the Bears might have them a little worried about him.

If they fear he can’t play out a full season, then Sapp’s story of a trade might hold water.

But the trade market for Fields might be slim, as he never put up great passing numbers with the Bears.

However, it doesn’t stop people from spinning another rumor over the fate of Fields in Chicago.
