“Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) criticized Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV), by name, on the Senate floor over the West Virginian’s push to halt electric vehicle tax credits that don’t meet strict new domestic sourcing requirements included in Democrats’ health care, climate and tax package from last year, which Manchin played a central role in crafting,” Politico reports.
Said McConnell: “The Senate is witnessing an unusual sight: Our colleague from West Virginia, Sen. Manchin, is trying to rollback legislation that he himself wrote and passed less than a year ago.”
He added: “Now, this is what happens when Democrats make it up as they go along and clumsily try to rewire huge parts of our economy on the fly.”
