It is hard to get NBA fans to agree on many things but everyone is coming together for one cause on Thursday: celebrating the life and career of Kobe Bryant.

It has been three years since Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and seven others were killed in a helicopter crash in southern California.

The entire NBA world was shocked and heartbroken by the loss of Bryant and everyone, from players to coaches to commentators to fans, came together to remember the man who changed the game.

At the time of his death, Bryant was four years into his retirement and was doing what he loved best: supporting his daughter and the game they both adored.

Before his passing, Bryant was already considered one of the greatest players to ever touch a basketball

He was an 18-time All-Star, 2-time scoring champion, 2-time Finals MVP, and 5-time champion during his 20 years with the Los Angles Lakers.

Following his passing, Bryant has become even more legendary.

The streets of Los Angeles are filled with murals of Bryant and his daughter.

Meanwhile, players from all teams have spoken of his tremendous impact on the league and the game.

Bryant was known for his dedicated drive, also known as the “Mamba Mentality.”

It didn’t matter who he was playing against or how well or poorly his team was doing, Bryant put 100% into every game and demanded the same from all his teammates.

From morning to night, day in and day out, 365 days a year, Bryant was all about being the best and playing ball unlike anyone else.

The legacy he left will likely live on forever and Bryant will forever be known as a phenomenal basketball icon, father, and inspiration to millions.
