The Phoenix Suns are currently without their best shooter, Devin Booker, and have had a rough month or two.

Despite that, they have turned some heads around the NBA as they have now won three games in a row and are showing flashes of their former glory.

On Sunday night, a short-handed Suns went toe-to-toe with the Memphis Grizzlies, who are the second-best team in the West.

Despite not having Booker, Deandre Ayton, Cameron Payne, and Landry Shamet, the Suns were still able to defeat the Grizzlies 112-110.

The ever-reliable Mikal Bridges led the way with 24 points, while Chris Paul was back in fine form with his own 22.

Guys like Torrey Craig, Jock Landale, and Dario Saric were all pivotal in the big win too.

This was a very important W for the Suns, who have recently defeated the Indian Pacers and Brooklyn Nets too.

It showed that even without their biggest names, they can still overcome the odds.

Because of their three consecutive wins, the Suns are now 7th place in the West.

That might be a far cry from where they were last season but at least it’s some sort of progress after weeks of looking like a completely different team that was light-years away from the Finals.

The good news is that the Suns will get better in the next few weeks when Booker, Ayton, and the others return.

Thanks to the re-entry of Paul and the hard work of a few role players, the Suns are showing brightness again.

If the team can keep cobbling together more wins like the ones they have had recently, they might be preparing for a legitimate playoff run.
