The Cleveland Cavaliers took a tough loss on Wednesday with Donovan Mitchell out of the lineup, but that didn’t stop the star guard from supporting his teammates.
Mitchell was active on Twitter during the game, and at one point, he showed love to Darius Garland by saying the 22-year-old should be an All-Star.

Wednesday’s game had a frustrating ending for Garland and the Cavs, but overall, he put together a strong performance.
The fourth-year pro finished with 24 points, 14 assists, and five rebounds while going 7-for-17 from the field and 5-for-11 from deep.
Garland made the All-Star Game in the 2021-22 campaign, and he’s looking to get there again this season.
Mitchell will almost certainly get an All-Star nod himself, as he’s having a phenomenal year.
The Cavs newcomer is averaging 28.4 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game this season.
He has had some monster performances with the Cavs already, including his 71-point game earlier this month.
Garland, meanwhile, is also having a strong year.
In his All-Star campaign last season, he averaged 21.7 points, 8.6 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game while posting a true shooting percentage of 57.6.
This season, he’s averaging 21.5 points, 8.0 assists, and 2.9 rebounds per contest and once again has a true shooting percentage of 57.6.
Statistically, the youngster’s 2022-23 campaign has been very similar to his 2021-22 season.
Time will tell how many Cavs get selected to this year’s All-Star Game in Salt Lake City.
In the meantime, Cleveland will look to make up some ground in the Eastern Conference and continue to challenge for a high seed.
