The Dallas Cowboys went into Monday night looking for their first road playoff win in 30 years.

Facing an eight-win Tampa Bay Buccaneers team, the Cowboys dominated the game all night.

Plenty of credit goes to the coaching staff for having the team ready to play.

Also, on both sides of the ball, Dallas was able to do whatever they wanted.

Here are two reasons for the Cowboys’ huge win.

1. Won The Turnover Battle

Dak Prescott came into the playoffs throwing an interception in seven straight games.

Also, he was coming off his worst performance of the season in Week 18.

But, he put all of that behind him and played at an elite level on Monday night.

Prescott and the Cowboys offense did not commit one turnover in the game.

But, their defense was able to do what they have done best all year, which is taking the ball away.

In the second quarter, the Cowboys intercepted Tom Brady in the end zone, when Tampa had a chance to tie or take the lead.

That one turnover swung all the momentum to the Cowboys and they never looked back.

2. Offensive Dominance

The Cowboys knew they were going to need to score points in this game to have success.

Despite having a rough first two drives, the Dallas offense was dominant the rest of the night.

Prescott was undoubtedly the best player on the field Monday night.

His five touchdowns set a Cowboys record for the most in a playoff game.

The Cowboys had 425 yards of total offense in the game and averaged 6.2 yards per play.

Now the Cowboys will need to follow this game up with another great offensive showing in the Divisional Round.
