The Dallas Cowboys need to show they are capable of playoff success on Monday Night.
While many people are not predicting them to win, Dallas is still favored in the game.
Plenty of pressure will be on Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy.
Despite leading the team to back-to-back 12-win seasons, if his team is one and done again, his job could be in jeopardy.
McCarthy was brought to Dallas because of his playoff success including one Super Bowl victory.
But, if the Cowboys lose on Monday Night, plenty of people will be calling for McCarthy’s job.
Quarterback Dak Prescott thinks all the noise around McCarthy’s job status is “comical”.
#Cowboys Dak Prescott referred to questions about Mike McCarthy’s job security as “comical, in a sense.”
“Back-to-back 12 wins in y’all tell me how long and we’re talking about a guy’s job in jeopardy? That just shows you when you play for this organization what comes with it.” pic.twitter.com/VRhhPvbwpI

It is rare for a coach with back-to-back 12-win seasons to have his job status discussed.
But, Prescott is right in the sense that being a part of the Dallas Cowboys makes the expectations higher than in other places.
If McCarthy was having this success for a different team, his job would be safe.
McCarthy deserves plenty of credit for the Cowboys’ success this season.
He helped them go 4-1 when Prescott was injured and took down some good teams in the stretch.
But, Prescott was not the only one to show support for McCarthy.
Owner/General Manager Jerry Jones also mentioned earlier in the week that his coach’s job status is not in jeopardy.
Winning this game on Monday Night should silence most of the critics of McCarthy.
But, a deep playoff run could be the only thing he is missing from getting a contract extension.
