The Golden State Warriors had nothing but luck when they took on the San Antonio Spurs on Friday the 13th.

The Warriors easily took the Spurs down at the Alamodome, beating them 144-113.

There were a few players who stunned the crowd on Friday, from Jordan Poole with his 25 points to Donte DiVincenzo with his 22.

Meanwhile, Andrew Wiggins and Klay Thompson scored 16, while Stephen Curry was good for 15 of his own.

It seemed like everyone on the Warriors roster got in on the action.

But perhaps the night really belonged to head coach Steve Kerr, who did something downright historic.

Friday marked Kerr’s 450th career coaching win.

He is the fifth-fastest coach in NBA history to reach that milestone, showing that not only was Kerr a great player, but he is an even better coach.

Kerr has been the head coach for the Warriors since 2014 and, since then, he has won Coach of the Year and brought four championships to the Bay Area.

Former NBA players often make good coaches but few are as great as Kerr.

His success has some wondering if he will ever leave the Warriors, or if they will ever relieve him of duty.

That seems very unlikely right now, even as the Warriors face an identity crisis and attempt to look like the defending champions that they are.

One of the most refreshing things about Kerr is how honest he is regarding both the good and the bad of his team.

He has willingly admitted that they aren’t playing at the level they should be and he has vowed to do all he can to change that.

Sure enough, the Warriors have been inching up in the Western Conference standings and are looking more alive lately.
